The maverick Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduanghan defied all odds against her and stormed her constituency by a helicopter on Tuesday. She arrived to the warm embrace of her constituents and supporters waiting for her arrival.
Kogi State government had banned rallies or protests ostensibly to stop her supporters from gathering in their numbers to welcome her.
State police commissioner Miller Dantawaye had also sent strong message to Natasha to halt her home coming to avoid alleged escalating security threats in Kogi.
Her Okehi Local government chairman, Amoka Monday also imposed a dusk to dawn curfew to prevent Natasha from holding a rally.
Natasha took them unawares when she arrived her constituency by a helicopter to meet her supporters.
However, no rally or protest took place, but merely addressed her supporters to remain steadfast as the gang-up against her will be temporary.
Natasha is serving a six months suspension from the senate for alleged misconduct. She has petitioned the Senate over alleged sexual assault by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
Natasha has told her supporters not to yield to any intimidation but to remain calm and law-abiding.
The embattled Senator fingered Akpabio, Governor Usman Ododo and immediate paste governor, Yahaya Bello as those behind her travails and urged Nigerians to hold the trio responsible should anything negative happen to her or her supporters.
She said she is a law-abiding citizen and sees no reason why she should be prevented from her constituency.
