Arsenal Dethrone Champions, Real Madrid, Face Inter Milan in UCL Semi- final
Arsenal rallied to an impressive 2-1 score line against defending champions, Real Madrid, in the quarter- final of the UEFA Champions League tie played this night.
The score line made Arsenal 5-1 winners over the defending champions, in spite of losing an 11 minute penalty through Nigerian national, Bukayo Saka.
The gunners now face Inter Milan, which also tonight drew 2 all with German entrant, Bayern Munich, thus qualifying on a 4-3 aggregate scoreline.
Arsenal, with a first leg 3-0 lead, lost the golden opportunity to consolidate but an 11 minute spot kick by Saka was saved by goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
However, Saka, as the match ground to an end, made an amend when, off a through pass, he tapped over the head of a sliding Courtois to record the first goal of the tie and the fourth for the English team over the two legs.
Madrid got a relief when, following a defensive blunder, an advancing Vinicius Junior slotted in to register the solitary goal for his team over the two legs.
- On Tuesday night, Barcelona and PSG picked their Semi- final tickets by overwhelming Borusssia Dortmund and Aston Villa.
