The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to mark the Easter celebration.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Interior, Permanent Secretary Magdalene Ajani announced the holidays, which coincide with Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulated Christians nationwide and urged citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice and love symbolized by Easter. He encouraged Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, and national stability.
Tunji-Ojo also reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda and called on Nigerians to show kindness and compassion to one another during the festive period.
