Engineer Buba Galadima, a key figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has rubbished claims that Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, plans to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Galadima described APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s prediction of Kwankwaso’s return as a desperate attempt to gain media attention.
Galadima stated that the NNPP is focused on delivering responsive and responsible governance, unlike the APC, which he claimed is plagued by confusion and disarray.
He questioned Ganduje’s leadership abilities, saying, “How can Ganduje be chairman of anything?”
Galadima also criticized Ganduje for using the NNPP to gain media visibility, adding that APC’s claims about Kwankwaso’s alleged plans to join the party are baseless.
Galadima flatly denied any plans or discussions about Kwankwaso returning to APC, stating, “There is nothing like that, I can tell you as a matter of fact.” He expressed confidence in the NNPP’s direction and dismissed APC’s claims as propaganda.
