President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that no matter the challenges, the forces of evil will not triumph over the country.
In his Easter message to Christians across Nigeria and around the world, the President urged citizens to reflect on the core values of Easter; sacrifice, love, hope, and redemption. He used the occasion to reaffirm his administration’s commitment to securing the nation and restoring peace.
“The forces of evil will never prevail over our country,” Tinubu declared. “I have issued clear directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to decisively tackle insecurity without delay.”
Addressing recent security challenges and tragic incidents in parts of the country, the President said he was deeply saddened and understands the pain and fear they have caused.
“Let me assure you that my administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable,” he emphasized.
The President also reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, promising a better, fairer, and more prosperous Nigeria.
“With the courage and commitment of our gallant security forces, we are turning the tide. We are making steady progress toward reclaiming peace and stability,” he said.
Acknowledging current economic hardships, Tinubu thanked Nigerians for their patience and resilience, stating that efforts are underway to restore investor confidence, stabilize key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that benefits everyone.
“Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country overcome its challenges. Though the present moment is cloudy, it will give way to a glorious dawn.”
The President encouraged citizens to remain hopeful, united, and determined in their pursuit of national progress.
“Our unity and resilience are our greatest strengths,” he concluded, and offered prayers for the quick recovery of Pope Francis.
The Easter celebration marks the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ; a central events in the Christian faith and a time of renewal for believers worldwide.
