The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has dismissed any opposition alliance aiming to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027, declaring such efforts “won’t work.”
Speaking in Kaduna after a Sallah visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari with APC’s National Working Committee (NWC), Ganduje said the ruling party remains unshaken by recent coalition talks among opposition figures.
“This is history repeating itself. Some political forces just can’t mix. It’s a game, and we have our strategies. We are fully prepared,” Ganduje said.
His comments came hours after former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and a group of former governors—including El-Rufai, Tambuwal, Suswam, Bindow, and Udenwa—also visited Buhari at his Kaduna home.
Ganduje, a former governor of Kano, emphasized that the APC is already in control of 21 states and predicted more defections and electoral wins ahead of 2027.
“We are the strongest party in West Africa. Some governors will soon join us. And where they don’t, we’ll defeat them at the polls,” he stated confidently.
