The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Abba Moro has expressed worries over the rising insecurity in Otukpo, Benue State.
Moro condemned in very strong terms, the recent killings and kidnappings in the town.
Senator Moro said the people behind the heinous crimes are doing Otukpo town a serious disservice, being the headquarters of the Idoma nation.
He charged government at all levels and security operatives to rise up to their constitutional responsibilities with a view to apprehending the perpetrators of the crime and bring them to justice.
The senator insisted that Nigerians have the rights to live and move about freely without fear or harassment, stating that lives and properties of the people must be protected.
He sent his heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed in cold blood and prays for the safe return of those still in the kidnapper’s den.
