Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP)in the 2023 election, Peter Obi has blamed the President Tinubu-led federal government for the protracted crisis in the party.
Speaking at a primetime national television programme monitored by the RADARR in Abuja, Obi attributed the rancour in the party to actions of intruders and manipulations by the ruling party.
When asked if he’s considering leaving the Labour Party due to the recurrent crisis in leadership, Obi said: “ These crises are the handiworks of government and it is for obvious reasons.
“As at today I’m still in the Labour Party. I don’t know what could happen in the future but I still belong to the party”
The former Anambra State governor also spoke about the chances of a possible coalition ahead of 2027, his disposition to joining forces with others and his prospects for another presidential run.
He said unfolding events will determine his next move.
