French Far Right Party leader, Marine Le Pen, has been jailed for four years and banned from vying for public office for five years.
A Paris Court which entered the judgment, also fined her 100,000 Euros. She is to serve only two of the four years.
Le Pen was convicted of corruptly mismanaging about 3M Euros of European funds.
She took over the leadership of the party, National Rally from her father, a renowned far rightist in 2011, and tried to wean it of its extreme views.
The court judgment implies that Marine is now ineligible to vie for the Presidency of France, now held by Emmanuel Macron.
