Wth still more than two years left to complete his first tenure, a pan Nigerian-Delta group under the umbrella of Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil & Gas, HOSTCOM is rooting for President Bola Tinubu to remain in power till 2031.
The group said it wants Tinubu to remain in Aso Rock, the seat of power to continue with “the great job” he has started.
With just barely two years in office-and ahead of 2027 general elections-endorsements are already coming the way of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to remain in office for a second term of four years.
The newest endorsement comes from the creeks of Nigeria’s oil rich Niger-Delta region from a group known as the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing oil and gas-HOSTCOM.
For them, Tinubu’s leadership is a turning point and it has become imperative to keep him in office to continue and complete the journey towards economic recovery he boldly embarked upon from day one.
According to the Niger-Delta group-Nigeria was at a difficult time and place when Tinubu took over but has in a very short period of time is gradually reshaping the course of history for Nigeria.
“ We leaders and indigenes of the Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and gas , in collaboration with our grand patron, High Chief Dr. Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo Ibe -Ebidouwei of Ijaw nation and Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited are fully endorsing and committed to supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.“
According to the group, President Bola Tinubu has done so much for the growth and development of the Niger-delta and they believe he would do more for them and indeed other parts of the country if he remains in office, citing reduction in oil theft and eventual increase in the daily crude oil production for the country and more money for the local communities.
The group also highlighted the refining revolution that is on-going with Tinubu in power, the light up project by NDDC that has taken darkness from the creeks and the birth of the South-South Development Commission.
For this group, the Niger-Delta has never had it so good and they intend to make it stay that way till 2031.
The group said while critics are very quick at pointing at the inflation rate and hardship, they forget that genuine change often come with pain. They argued that with the old wasteful subsidy regime gone, Tinubu is gradually fixing the economy and the results are showing in revenues hitting over N9.1 trillion and the Naira finally regaining its value even as they appealed to the President to address the conflict in Rivers State.
In the area of Infrastructure the Niger-Delta group believes that Tinubu is breaking new grounds.
According to them, Tinubu is not just fixing the present, he’s building a better tomorrow for the country and nothing should stand on his way in 2027 to remain in power.
Ends.
